Wasikowska stars in the film 'Jane Eyre' a film adaptation of the novel by Charlotte Bronte.


This is Wasikowska's second Harper's Bazaar Australia cover, I'm love love loving it. She is wearing Louis Vuitton for the cover and it looks tres amaing. The whimsical sheer puffed cap sleeves are fab.

Hathaway is wearing a floral Gucci gown from their Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection. Believe it or not but I actually love love love this cover! Harper's Bazaar USA you've done good.

Hathaway was cast as 'Catwoman' in the new Batman movie 'The Dark Knight Rises' I'm tres eager to see how she'll interpret the role, and the costume.

(T-B/L-R) Miley Cyrus Concert, BTAN's Soccer Match, Last lunch with Krystal & Back at Uni.

Things are starting to pick up again. 

I started my winter semester, which isn't too bad. Two sessions a week so it doesn't take up all of my time. The homework isn't desired but fingers crossed it all pays off at the end of the year. I also began to pencil in dates for the rest of the year, just so I don't get surprised with anything. At least now I feel like I have some sort of order.

I spent time with wifey Krystal at the start of the week because left on Tuesday to Europe. I'm very jealous as I really want to go back soon and it's summer over there so its nice and warm! I got some travel plans drafted for the year (budget friendly of course), so hopefully I'll be able to board a plane at least once this year to somewhere.

I was a tad bit naughty... I shopped online. I'm very excited for it all to come. Thats the only thing I don't like about shopping online, that time in between pressing purchase and receiving your package.

Friday came and I went to the Miley Cyrus concert. Now before we all judge, the plan was for me to go with Krystal because she is a fan. So we go tickets, but instead she is off in Europe so I went with friends. I've got to say Cyrus has a tres intense voice for an 18 year old ex disney girl. It wasn't the best concert I've been too (Lady GaGa Fame Monster Ball) but at least she sang well.

MJS News! At the end of JUNE MJS's discounted shipping will finish, but in July the 'Agate Heart' line will be available! The 'Agate Heart' line was featured in the Style Diary post Leopard? Love Love 

The most powerful thing is the Mind; I believe. It's the only thing that can stop you from anything and everything.  It's the thing which separates those who achieve and those who don't.... I believe. 

Looks of the Week - 20-26th June 2011

Diane Kruger - In a red Yves Saint Laurent 2011 gown, Kruger was at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Paris. Love love loving the plunging neckline, sophisticated and the draping tres amazing.

Duchess of Cambridge - Wearing a Pre-fall 2011 custom Alexander McQueen look, the Duchess attended the Irish Guards Medal Parade. A very chic military look, even her hat works for me.

Kate Winslet - In Madrid for the YO DONA Magazine International Awards, Winslet donned a Victoria Beckham 2009 Fall gown. The look is very clean and chic, love love loving the embellishment on the waist adding some drama to the look.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - Out Promoting her first film debut in 'Transformers: The Dark of the Moon', Huntington-Whiteley was in Moscow wearing a Gucci Fall 2011 gown. A very trendy look at the moment. Love love loving the floral bodice and the sheer skirt shows off Huntington-Whiteley's killer legs.

Selena Gomez - I've got to say I've got a bit of a style crush on this little lovely at the moment. Gomez was at the Much Music Awards in Canada in a beige Burberry Prorsum mini dress from their Spring 2011 collection. I love love love the rustic look to the dress with its frayed ruffles. Gomez is looking very chic these days and I love it!

Hailee Steinfeld - Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2011 Campaign

Mentioned in May's MFG, True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld was announced as the latest spokesmodel for fashion brand Miu Miu. And here is her first shot from heir campaign shot by Bruce Weber.

The fourteen year old looks great on the ad, a bit older than a fourteen year old but still tres amazing. I love love love how Miu Miu is very fun and chic, and Steinfeld suits the label really well.

Style Diary - Leopard? Love Love

I've always been on the fence with prints.

My wardrobe is predominately made up of black and dark tones. I'm not a 'printed' person. There are only a handful of printed things in my wardrobe and probably only 2 or 3 pieces I wear. With this being said I really wanted a leopard printed garment. Whilst in Europe I tried to look for leopard pants.... no luck. I guess I'm picky when it comes to my prints, and in leopard's case I was even more particular. Luckily after some good old online shopping I found it (well the print) in a blazer. 

I got it off Zipia, a wholesale clothing site. Whenever wifey Yvonne or myself feel like injecting something fresh and unique into our wardrobes (and when we both can afford it) we order off the site. Everything isn't branded but if you look hard enough you can find some great things. These days more and more I find myself shopping for a silhouette than a brand or a print. To me it's all about the shape. Another noted buy off Zipia are my favourite killer black boots.

So back to the blazer. It's silky and fitted, and of course features shoulder pads just to maintain structure. I love love love it. Since it's such a bold print, I paired it with a simple Hanes vee neck, my uber old but uber chic black skinnies and my MARTAN Turquoise Ring and Agate Necklace (coming soon to MJS). 

This does not mean I'll be converting my wardrobe into a coloured and printed one. But here's to new things.

Alexander McQueen - Resort 2012 Picks

I never really understood the whole concept of a 'Resort Collection'. I stand corrected.

Sarah Burton created 24 Resort looks for this season. And I'm in Love love love! Strong waists, Khaki, Ivory Lace and a focus on metallic embellished details sums up the collection. I particularly love the above gowns, elegant and yet more than just your typical gown. Screams art, screams McQueen.

I'm also excited to see new clutches, I can't wait to see them first hand and with some luck have one in my possession!

Fly Like a G12

I've never really owned a tres intense camera in my life... Until now.

I've has the fair share of family cameras, you know the ones that you share and take on family holidays and all. Well then came Europe so I bought myself a Canon A490, good budget model which survived a heck of a lot of travel. Now I'm home I wanted to upgrade, having relied on Wifey Krystal for her camera for a lot of my past shots I wanted to get myself a nice new camera to call my own.

Introducing my new Canon Powershot G12. A compact professional digital camera. Not as big and flash (or as expensive) than a DSLR camera the G12 is perfect for me as its great, not too pricey and I love love love it! It's got an old school design, swivel LCD screen and buttons/dials galore. I'll consider this as my first investment piece ahaha.

I've already taken Style Diary and Jewellery Store shots, and I'm a very happy chap with them. I'll be sure to post them soon. I recommend this camera to anyone!

Beyonce's latest album '4' is due out in July. She will also be headlining the Glastonbury Music Festival later this month.

Love love loving the colour prints. Note a key trend this season Colour.

Look at this stripped back spread of Christina Aguilera for W Magazine's July Music and Style Issue. The spread was shot by Daniele & Iango.

Aguilera has reclaimed her popularity starring as a mentor and judge on NBC's 'The Voice' after her last album 'Bionic' failed to achieve chart success. (An underrated album I believe). The spread is simple and somewhat ghoulish, tres weird. I'm either presuming these shots where taken a while back or they've been photo shopped. 

I'm on the fence whether I like this one...
