Style Diary - Fly me to the Moon

I feel like the Moonman, but a Tres Amazing one...

So last week I wore red bright jeans, this week I'm moving forward (and on trend) with metallics.
These pair of silver jeans from Zara, I was just browsing around and these jeans caught my eye.
To me these bad boys scream 90's, glam, strong and mod.
It was one of those purchases I just saw and walked straight to the counter!

I wanted a strong look for the pants, so I added my Lanvin ♥ H&M blazer, draped tank and high boots. I love love love my blazer, the sheen on the lapel and the jeweled buttons ah! I cannot stop smiling!

Accessorizing the look I added a simple cuff, long gunmetal necklace and my Asos box clutch
Going for a strong look to suit the metallic I chose pieces with strong blocky elements, predominately in black not to shy attention from the jeans.

Everyone grab yourself some metallic ahahha x

[T-B/L-R] Lunching + Goodbye long hair + Style Diary-ing + Staying up for the Burberry Show

Hola lovelies!

I had holidays last week... well at least I was supposed to.

Being swamped with homework and tasks I couldn't actually afford to anything on my week off. That and for two of my days off I had to take a short course.  I managed to get my hair did (probably the only the only accomplishment last week) a big chop, opting for a shorter style. Something new, something fresh.

I spent a lot of my spare time trying to watch some Fashion Week shows. So I ended up staying up to the wee hours of the morning to watch say the Burberry show and catching up on other shows. A great part of my holidays.

One more week then October! Cannot wait.

It angers me that we live in a world where people discriminate who we love.
LOVE something which is natural and free, something that is uncontrollable.
A 14 year old boy took his life due to being bullied for being bisexual.
We shouldn't have to apologize for being born this way.

LFW2012 - Spring Ready-to-Wear

[L-R] Mary Katrantzou, Erdem & Julien MacDonald

London Fashion Week saw florals elevate with brights, symmetrical prints and texture. Embellishment, fringe, cutouts and even raffa (from Burberry Prorsum) shows texture as a print itself. The metallic trend is definitely in the building, with silver and gold making a bold statement from suits to dresses.

My favourite shows from London Fashion Week are from Burberry Prorsum, ErdemJulien MacDonaldMary Katrantzou and Matthew Williamson

Style Diary - Red, White and Bright all over.

I'm working with Brights again

I've had my eye on a pair of red jeans for a while, and when I saw these pair at work I had to snap them up! They are right on trend, very pop bright. As you can see I'm slowly expanding my wardrobe.

I also cut my hair! Tres short no? I just needed a change... though it does looks quiet the same when I had my quiff.

For this look I paired the bright jeans with a light look. With brights, I tend not to colour block (because I don't own much colour clothing) so I normally pair it with a black or white look, to give emphasis to the jean. A long deep neck t-shirt and my floating lapel Dion Lee blazer.

I am in love love love with this blazer, its cropped the back with detachable lapels so it can be a simple grey blazer or a much more exaggerated coat. Accessories wise I added a long silver chained necklace, Topshop  envelope clutch and black boots for height.

Dion Lee Blazer + River Island T-Shirt + Cotton On Jeans + Forever 21 Necklace + Topshop Clutch + Sportsgirl Boots

I try to incorporate trends into my looks that suit my own style. You aren't going to see me colour blocking anytime soon!.

ANTM Cycle 17 - Ashlee Simpson

FCO Lisa (Credit The CW)
This week's episode of Top Model All-Stars came with Ty-Overs, Tantrums and.... Hot Dogs?

Branding was the major lesson this week, with the models being given a word from Martan Lindstorm describing their own personal brand. I laughed so much when it was polled that Angelea represented 'Cheap Shoes', just her face ahaha. The fab Miss J Alexander and guest judge Ashlee Simpson announced that the girls were going to get their Ty-Overs, working with their hair, skin, nails... practically everything and anything. And let me say Alexandria getting her hair cut and her 'happy cry' scared the bleep out of me!

For their photoshoot the models made their own 'Pink's Hot Dog' embodying their brand word. LisaBianca, Angelea and Allison excelled... while Bre, Sheena and Kayla were less than amazing. At panel Lisa got First Call Out, but left Sheena and Kayla were in the bottom 2 failing to meet the brief. It's my girl Sheena who is sent home.

Look below for the rest of the shots...

[T-B/L-R] Crazy Stupid Bag + Belated Birthday Lexia with my Lovelies + Steve Carell + Swag

Hola lovelies!

So last week I came back to reality. Back to uni and work.

I got to go to the premiere of Crazy Stupid Love on Monday night. A pretty fun event, and it was at my favourite cinema the Rivoli in Camberwell. I must say it was weird having all of the media there and being dressed up for the movies, but cool nonetheless. Steve Carell was at the Premiere with the film's directors as well. The film was pretty good, Ryan Gosling was tres amazing! (too bad he wasn't there)
There some good laughs in the film and I got my own little goodie bag too!

I've been talking about changes with the blog, slowly but surely you'll see them. I've already done a few tweeks, some will be a bit more visible than others but nevertheless changes are coming. I get really bored with the same old look so I cannot wait for all the changes to happen. Keep your eyes peeled throughout this month lovelies!

I'm weird in the sense that I'm always changing, growing, liking new things and leaving other things behind.
I find the notion of being in a rut or a having strict routine well... scary. I like change, again some more drastic than others. From changing what I wear, do, and the like I'm a... chameleon??
It makes life and well my life fresh.

My look of the Week. In a black Marchesa, Belle was in New York for the first Marchesa 2012 Runway show. I love love love the drama of this look, edgy but still very feminine.

Elizabeth Olsen Bringing colour to this week's LOTW, Olsen was in an floral Erdem 2012 Resort dress for the Toronto Film Festival.

Paula Abdul At the Fox Fall Eco-Casino Party Abdul wore a Falguni & Shane Peacock mini dress with an Alexander McQueen blazer and clutch. A very expensive and classy look for Abdul

Victoria Beckham  - Shopping in New York with baby Harper, Beckham wore a dress from her line Victoria by Victoria Beckham's 2012 Spring collection. The look is cute, but Beckham adds edge with her killer Louboutins. Love love love.

Michelle Williams channels Marilyn Monroe for her October cover of Vogue USA. The cover was shot by Annie Leibovitz.

Williams stars as the Screen Siren in the film My Week With Marilyn' out later this year.
In the spread Williams wears classic Marilyn looks by J.Crew, DKNY, Monique Lhullier, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren. I've gotta say Williams is the spitting image of Marilyn, her spread shots are very chic and  classic.
