Looks of 2011

Nearly every week I've put down a list of my favourite looks, from Street Style to Oscar Red-Carpet, Womenswear to Menswear, Gowns to Minidresses the lists have been long and full of surprises. 

So to round off 2011 I thought I'd choose 10 of my top looks from the week's list.

Angelina Jolie + Atelier Versace Gown @ 2011 Golden Globes

Jolie in a full length, backless Emerald Gown that's covered in Swarovski crystals. Need I say more?

Blake Lively + Chanel Couture Spring 2009 @' The Green Lantern' LA Premiere

 Chic in Chanel, Lively dons some tricky couture. Love love loving the lace and sheer layering

Cate Blanchett + Givenchy Couture Spring 2011 @ 2011 Oscar Awards

Always up for a style challenge Blanchett looked stunning on the red carpet in the violet, pearl embroidered Givenchy

Cheryl Cole + Stephane Rolland Couture Spring 2011 Gown @ Cannes Film Festival 2011

Looking her best in white, the gown offers structure and sex appeal with the deep v neckline. 

Love love loving the fluid drape on the skirt, not to mention that belt!

Freida Pinto + Chanel Couture Spring/Summer 2010 @ 2011 MET Gala

This dress is exactly what I think the MET Gala is, experimental and fashion forward.

Kat Graham + Falguni and Shane Peacock Minidress @ 2011 Teen Choice Awards

In one of my new favourite designers, Graham plays with the minidress concept in this FAB creation by Falguni and Shane Peacock

Rooney Mara + Givenchy Couture Fall 2011 @' The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' London Premiere

Sneaking onto the list, Mara works her edgy editorial look in this white lace Givenchy.

Nina Dobrev + Donna Karan 2012 Resort Gown @ 2011 Emmy Awards 

Red Carpet Stunner. Dobrev looks expensive and at her best in Red at the Emmys

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley + Burberry Gown @ ' Transformers 3' London Premiere

In none other than Burberry, Huntington-Whiteley looks like a goddess in the navy gown. 

Do I need to mention the sexy and revealing top? 

Ryan Goslingt + Salavatore Ferragamo Tuxedo @ Cannes Film Festival

Yes a guy makes it on the list! Gosling has won me over with his forward menswear looks.

Hopefully more guys follow suit!

Looks of the Week - 7-13th November 2011

> Camilla Belle + Gucci Spring 2012 Flapper Dress @ LACMA's Art and Film GalaBelle is looks Hot to Trot in this Gucci 'flapperesque' dress. Straight off the runway the combination of the graphic white, black and gold fringe are BAM amazing. 
> Freida Pinto + Antonio Berardi Spring 2012 Gown @ LA Premiere of 'Immortals'This Antonio Berardi gown definitely suits the brief of Pinto's premiere of the 'Immortals'. The gown features silver detailing on the chest, reminiscent of armour a strong feminine look.
> Jennifer Lopez + Atelier Versace Fall 2011 Gown @ Glamour's Women of the Year Awards 2011Can we all take a look at the floral detailing on JLo's dress? BAM Amazing, the gown is balanced with a high slit to break up the look.
> Selena Gomez + Marchesa Fall 2011 Minidress @ MTV Europe Music 2011Gomez is once again sexy cute on the red carpet in Marchesa. Love love loving the detailing on the tulle dress, very elegant.
> Taylor Swift + Emilio Pucci Minidress @ 59th BMI AwardsSequined Minidress... need I say more?
> Zoe Saldana + Elie Saab Spring 2012 Gown @ Latin Grammy Awards 2011Saldana is a goddess in this Elie Saab sequined gown. The colour and silhouette is tres chic.

Looks of the Week - 17-23rd October 2011

> Amanda Seyfried - MY LOOK OF THE WEEK. At the premiere of her new flick 'In Time', Seyfried wore this Prabal Gurung Spring 2012 mini-dress. Love love loving the colour of the floral print, chic and edgy. 
> Catherine Zeta Jones - Timeless in Elie Saab Couture, Zeta Jones attended the 'A Fine Romance' Benefit in this FAB spring 2010 gown.
> Evan Rachel Wood - In a black Alessandra Rich 2011 gown, Wood was at 'Elle's Women in Hollywood Tribute'. Love love loving the sheer and black panels of the dress, sexy drama. 
> Freida Pinto - FAB in a Ralph Lauren Jumpsuit, Pinto was in London for the premiere of her film 'Trishna'. The texture of the jumpsuit is BAM amazing. 
> Zoe Saldana - At the 2011 Scream Awards Saldana is amazing in J Mendel. The minidress is chic, with its fold and drape. Love.

Jennifer Aniston covers the November Issue of Elle USA; the Women in Hollywood issue. 

She is wearing a look comprised of Balmain and Balenciaga. The cover was shot by Alexei Hay.

The issue features eight topical actresses in Hollywood including Freida Pinto, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts and Elizabeth Olsen. Looks by Calvin Klein, Lanvin, Givenchy and Stella McCartney were featured in the spread.

Actress Freida Pinto covers the September Issue of InStyle UK.

Pinto is in a Emilio Pucci Fall 2011 dress. The cover is very glamourous, Pinto looks tres amazing. Such a pretty girl.

Pinto stars in the upcoming flick 'Rise of the Planets of the Apes' opposite James Franco.

MET Gala 2011

This year's MET Gala in New York honoured the late Alexander McQueen and his work in the new exhibit (which I've been talking about for a while): Savage Beauty.

Famous Celebrities, Designers and Models attended the event wearing latest, vintage and some custom designs just for the event. Designer trends included McQueen (of course), Chanel and Stella McCartney while detailing was a technical theme with a lot of embellishments here and there. It's probably safe to say that the MET Gala is my favourite Red Carpet event, designers go all out with crazy and interesting designers unlike any other event.

Above are my top looks from the Gala.

Blake Lively - Attending the Gala with Karl Lagerfeld, the face of Chanel's Mademoiselle Handbags wore Chanel Fall 2009 Couture dress. I love love love the asymmetric nature of the gown. The combination of the draped shoulder and bottom and the form fitting  silver detailed bodice is tres amazing.
Diane Kruger - Wearing her favourite designer Jason Wu, Kruger rocks this Fall 2011 dress with long nude sleeve top and black skirt. Another love for the detailing on the nude top, the black skirt has a tight high slit just to mix things up. Very old school glamour vibe.
Freida Pinto - Pinto looks tres chic and amazing, let me put this out there. Wearing Chanel Couture from their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, I love love love the black tie against the white silk dress genius in my books.
Isabel Lucas - The Aussie actress brings her boho look forward and into uber glam, wearing a coral/melon Louis Vuitton halter dress. She accessories with a gold headpiece, drop earrings and a cute geometric clutch with a bottom tassel.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - In a custom rose silk Burberry dress, Huntington-Whiteley looks tres amazing. Something about her look just screams out to me. Not many girls could pull this dress off. She finished the look with shoes and clutch all from Burberry.
Sarah Jessica Parker - Finally SJP dons none other than McQueen from his 2005 Fall collection. The dress is embellished all over with silver crystals, and it looks so good on SJP whom accompanied McQueen to the Met in tartan in 2006.
