Coachella 2011 Ladies

Australia has its Big Day Out, Future and all, but LA has Coachella Festival. Hosted at The Empire Polo Club in California famous music acts like Kings of Leon, Cee Lo Green, Kanye West, Marina and the Diamonds and The Strokes performed over the 3 day fest. Noted celebrities were seen enjoying the great weather and music sporting chic casual and some boho looks. Here are my favourites from the festival with: Alessandra Ambrosio, Dita von Teese, Isabel Lucas, Kate Bosworth, Nicole Richie & Vanessa Hudgens.

MARTAN + I Like My Style Quarterly

I'm a member of ilikemystyle.net, which is like lookbook.nu only more underground and casual. Anywho, when I returned from my travels I was approached by a member of ilikemystyle.net to contribute to their quarterly fashion magazine. And I had to oblige.

I was paired up with another member Manuel from Meran Italy to discuss 'Dating: the differences and similarities between Meran and Melbourne'. So over a few chat conversations we discussed  the dating game, and it was really eye opening to discover the ways in which other people around the world date. Our conversation features in the magazine with other articles from other paired up members. Images of me feature in and before my article as well which I love love love!

I'm tres chuffed to be in a 300 paged magazine. It may not be Vogue or something readily published or found, but I'm a happy chap. It's pretty cool to see yourself in high glossy print... ahahaha

 Sunday Sunset, Vegie Bar with my Loves, City after stocktake & Melbourne Comedy Festival.

Last week was full throttle. The week was a combination of work, uni and organising the launch of MARTAN Jewellery Store. At the other end of the week now I'm a very happy chap with all of the hard work I put in.

I went to my first show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival with Steph and Yan, seeing Will Anderson. His comedy was pretty good, especially because I'm not a person who laughs a lot to comedy. But it was a good night, I recommend everyone go see a show they're cheap and worth every penny... well cent in my case.

With working a 30 hour week, you'd think it would be hard to still go to uni and launch another MARTAN site. I'm not going to lie... it was hard, but again it paid off. Balances my life out well. Social, Work, Education and fun.

Launching the MARTAN Jewellery Store was tres intense. I've been planning it for two months, ordering products, quotes, conversing and all... So it was really great for me to finally share the product of my behind the scenes work with you all. The Store is up and running, but I've still got a lot of share.

I ended the week with a catch up with my wifey's Krystal and Yan at Vegie Bar. Food and Conversation, simple and needed after a long week.

Looks of the Week - 11-17th April 2011

Courtney Cox - Filming for the 'Late Show with David Letterman' promoting her latest flick Scream 4, Cox dons a structured LBD by Roland Mouret. I love love love the shoulders, looks tres amazing on her.
Emma Roberts - At the LA premiere of Scream 4, Roberts wore a blue Burberry Prorsum mini dress. She matched the dress with Elie Saab heels and a slick back ponytail.
Eva Longoria - Still promoting her cookbook 'Eva's Kitchen', Longoria was a Barnes and Noble in a nude Victoria Beckham draped dress from her Spring 2011 collection.
Lucy Hale - The Pretty Little Liars star wore a black Georges Hobeika mini dress from his 2011 spring collection. I love the cut outs and the sequin detailing on the dress.
Minka Kelly - Wearing a purple/navy leopard print Zac Posen cocktail dress, Kelly attended the store opening of Follie Folllie in Soho.

Introducing: MARTAN Jewellery Store

So finally without further or do. The newest edition to the MARTAN family is the MARTAN Jewellery Store! 

The idea came about when I was in London, especially at the various markets that had an array of funky jewellery. I wantto share that same fun jewellery that I saw with everyone!
