Looks of the Week - 8-14th August 2011

Anne Hathaway - In New York for the premiere of her new film 'One Day', Hathaway wore a black Alexander McQueen Resort 2012 dress. The skirt of the dress is beautifully flared out and the embellished bust is to die for. 

Diane Kruger - In Jason Wu 2012 Resort wear, Kruger was at the 10th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree. I love love love me a girl in a tuxedo jacket. The navy jacket and the tailored black shorts look tres intense on Kruger.

Emma Stone - Stone was in LA for the premiere of 'The Help' Stone was in a Chanel Spring 2011 Couture Look. A great elegant look for Stone.

Gennifer Goodwin - My Favourite look this week! At the Disney ABC Television Summer Press Tour, Goodwin was in a 3.1 Phillip Lim dress. I love love love the embellished sleeves, subtle but adds enough texture an edge to the look. 

Lady GaGa - In LA, GaGa wore this tres amazing yellow snakeskin dress. The look is very simple and chic, and I'm love love loving the print!

Things are starting to pick up again. 

I started my winter semester, which isn't too bad. Two sessions a week so it doesn't take up all of my time. The homework isn't desired but fingers crossed it all pays off at the end of the year. I also began to pencil in dates for the rest of the year, just so I don't get surprised with anything. At least now I feel like I have some sort of order.

I spent time with wifey Krystal at the start of the week because left on Tuesday to Europe. I'm very jealous as I really want to go back soon and it's summer over there so its nice and warm! I got some travel plans drafted for the year (budget friendly of course), so hopefully I'll be able to board a plane at least once this year to somewhere.

I was a tad bit naughty... I shopped online. I'm very excited for it all to come. Thats the only thing I don't like about shopping online, that time in between pressing purchase and receiving your package.

Friday came and I went to the Miley Cyrus concert. Now before we all judge, the plan was for me to go with Krystal because she is a fan. So we go tickets, but instead she is off in Europe so I went with friends. I've got to say Cyrus has a tres intense voice for an 18 year old ex disney girl. It wasn't the best concert I've been too (Lady GaGa Fame Monster Ball) but at least she sang well.

MJS News! At the end of JUNE MJS's discounted shipping will finish, but in July the 'Agate Heart' line will be available! The 'Agate Heart' line was featured in the Style Diary post Leopard? Love Love 

The most powerful thing is the Mind; I believe. It's the only thing that can stop you from anything and everything.  It's the thing which separates those who achieve and those who don't.... I believe.

Have a look at Beyonce's spread for the July issue of W Magazine; The Music and Style Issue. The spread was shot by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

Beyonce is about to release for fourth studio album entitled '4' and soon will be on a massive promotional campaign to support the new record. With her new sound, Beyonce has also stepped it up in her style. She is way more stylish and fashion forward like other singers like Rihanna and Mother Monster Lady GaGa.

Love love loving the spread, tres intense. Featuring looks by Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Dolce and Gabanna and Phillip Lim.

Lady GaGa - Rolling Stone June 2011

Lady GaGa covers the June issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.

Mother Monster is rocking the iconic 'Hairbow' which she was famously known for at the beginning of her career. It's good to see she is still rocking out the good stuff. I dont' even mind the red/orange hair.. hmm

GaGa's sophomore album 'Born This Way' was released this week receiving positive reviews and undoubtedly it will be #1 around the world. I myself still have the album on replay since friday. Love love love!

She is also set to perform her 3rd single off her album 'The Edge of Glory' at the American Idol Finale. I cannot wait!

Eager to see her spread too!

Decisions

(T-B/L-R) European Suitcase Home, Vegie Bar with Wifey, At uni... & Born This Way!

My other suitcase which I shipped home was finally delivered last week; I'm finally home.

It was kind of weird going through all of the stuff. It was mainly full of magazines and blazers (which I totally forgot I had), but yes I've fully returned home...

My first semester of this year is nearly over with 2 long weeks ahead. I have no exams which is a plus. Though on the other hand I have 2 folios and reports due. Hopefully I get it all done in time!

I managed to catch up with the Wifey Krystal last week for Vegie Bar (loving my Vegan Pizza) and after work for a late night dinner and chit chat. She's going to Europe next month which I'm tres jealous about, even though I've only come back in the recent months. Very Jealous ahaha.

I got my hands on Lady GaGa's sophomore album Born This Way on friday. Since her album was leaked shops decided to release the album early, so I grabbed a copy before work. I must say I don't really buy CDs so this is a big thing for me. Luckily I'm a very happy chap with the album love love loving Marry The Night, Hair, The Edge of Glory, Fashion of His Love, Electric Chapel, Heavy Metal Lover and well lets say I love love love the album fullstop.

I've added a few new items on my wishlist. I'm in somewhat of a conflict in which order I should purchase each one. Keeping my options open about the future and stuff, I don't like to save...But hopefully in a few more weeks I'll be able to cash in and purchase them, and of course I'll post to celebrate!

The one main thing I learn this week is that you have to be Proud of yourself and your work. Because if you aren't why should anyone else be? x

I love love love GaGa with the black shall I say 'Sailor Moonesque' hair. GaGa's first article for V Magazine as a columnist also is in the Issue. This issue can be purchased in a hard bound copy with proceeds going towards the Japan Earthquake Fund, and you also score a free T-Shirt with GaGa's cover on it! GaGa's promotion for Born This Way have heated up with her performing at London's Radio 1's Big Weekend and as recent releasing promotional tracks Hair and Marry the Night. Songs that I love love love I cannot wait for the album!

Lady GaGa covers issue #71: The Asian Issue of V Magazine.

GaGa was announced to be as a V Magazine Columnist last month and in this issue you'll be able to read her first column which I'm tres eager to read.

GaGa's Born This Way is slowly but surely making its way to the shelves being released later this month. Promoting her new record she is releasing promo singles with the recent 'The Edge of Glory' already number 1 on the US iTunes charts.

Love love loving the preview covers, make up tutorial anyone? I wanna see how this was done! Being the Asian Issue I'm really excited to see the spread!!

Lady GaGa - Harper's Bazaar USA May 2011 Spread & Judas Single Preview

This is a big GaGa post with her spread for Harper's Bazaar USA surfacing and her second single 'Judas' being thrown into the airwaves.

The spread shot by Terry Richardson sees GaGa wearing McQueen, Versace and a pair of wicked knife heeled mega platform heels. The spread has definitely redeemed the cover, though I am warming up to it. I wished that GaGa had a different hair colour than the cotton candy pink.

Also below is 'Judas' GaGa's second single. It's a lot more different to Born This Way or anything that GaGa has released or done. I must say it's wearing on me and I'm liking it a lot. I'm eager to see the music video which was directed by GaGa herself. Keep up the great work Mother Monster, love love love.
