Style Diary - Sloppy 55

I like a random mix of things. Vintage, Designer, DIY and the occasional no name basic
I've had these overall pants from Zipia. One of those purchases where I like what I see, not sure how I'll wear it but I buy it moments. They are really comfy, slim fitting with two thin strap overalls which button at the front. I actually kind of forgot that I had them until I did a bit of a wardrobe clean out.

For this look I paired the pants with one of my sloppy sweaters. I actually got this oversized sweater from K-Mart; a very cheap find. It's one of those creature comfort pieces, normally for very casual days. I cut the neckline so that it is a deep and if I want it somewhat off the shoulder, just so I'm not swimming in it all.
I like when my style mixes everything together, I think it gives it more personality and it gives me much more to play with!

I'm going for a casual everyday look so to speak. To give it some more well me, I added my new Senso Acacia Wedges (Read more of the Sixth Senso), 5 Preview '55' Necklace and my Topshop Envelope Clutch.
In my mind this is something I'd wear on a creative day, maybe chuck on some geek glasses whilst running errands, going to a shoot (again fantasy world), it's my creative look.

Style Diary - Fly me to the Moon

I feel like the Moonman, but a Tres Amazing one...

So last week I wore red bright jeans, this week I'm moving forward (and on trend) with metallics.
These pair of silver jeans from Zara, I was just browsing around and these jeans caught my eye.
To me these bad boys scream 90's, glam, strong and mod.
It was one of those purchases I just saw and walked straight to the counter!

I wanted a strong look for the pants, so I added my Lanvin ♥ H&M blazer, draped tank and high boots. I love love love my blazer, the sheen on the lapel and the jeweled buttons ah! I cannot stop smiling!

Accessorizing the look I added a simple cuff, long gunmetal necklace and my Asos box clutch
Going for a strong look to suit the metallic I chose pieces with strong blocky elements, predominately in black not to shy attention from the jeans.

Everyone grab yourself some metallic ahahha x

Style Diary - The London Look

Follow the jump to read more of The London Look...

It's been a year since I packed and explored the beyond... or well Europe for that matter.

I miss it a lot, though being at home I've been able to do some pretty cool things so its not all bad being home.  Especially my extended wardrobe. It was such a pain to pack for 6 months in Europe. I wanted to bring so many pieces but many were too big or just impractical for my travels.

I got this Leather Jacket from the Camberwell Market for $10 (Tres amazing bargain!) It's got these insane puffy sleeves, when rolled up give great texture to any look. This Union Jack sleeveless tee is from Zipia, it's a very gimmicky shirt; I don't wear it too often but I thought I'd pull it out for this occasion.

Finishing my look I wanted a sleek black look so I wore my waxed Bardot jeans and Dr Martens. I never wear my Dr Martens because I have narrow feet so they tend to make my feet look huge.

I love love love having  the combination of a statement vintage piece with complementing and contemporary pieces you can get anywhere.

Style Diary - My Big Mac

I love love love me some outerwear.

With it being winter, majority of the time when I go to work or to uni I like to throw on a big jacket. I love love love how it covers everything so all I have to do is pair it with a scarf and some pants. The trench coat is my current fave, being long and having a waistband to add some shape to the silhouette its a perfect piece for me.

Now I have this Machintosh Coat which I got from London. It was apart of the Lanvin ♥'s H&M collection, I picked it up from Oxford Street. It's a large coat with with a thin tie on the waist. I haven't really worn the piece yet, just because it is very intense coat. But now come winter I'm bringing it out!

Being well me, I wanted to play with this coat. So for this look I wore this Topman t-shirt with a drop crotched jumpsuit with the coat on top. Adding some structure to the coat I put on this thick black belt that I made myself. The belt is tres amazing because its just a simple band that give me shape and a 'thin aspect' to me.

Finally accessorising I added this Zara briefcase which was gifted from my wifey, my Marc by Marc Jacobs cuff and by black high Zipia boots.

For a day to day or a 'rushed' day I'd take the coat and belt, pair it with some black and a scarf and bam I'm done!

Style Diary - My Textured Galaxy

I'm not a fan of prints... though I never say never...

I love love love when a designer creates an original print. From Alexander McQueen, Dion Lee to Josh Goot, I seem to have an expensive taste for these designer's exclusive prints. Christopher Kane is also another designer whom I adore for his unique prints and designs.

I got this Christopher Kane Tank/Dress from Luisaviaroma, it features a great galaxy print from his 2011 Resort Collection. Made of 100% Silk it's tress soft and amazing! I'm in love love love. I consider this 'print purchase' a once off, I'm more of a basic or monotone type of guy.

I paired this bright Galaxy Tank with black. With that in mind though I wanted to change it up and add come textured black to the next. This being said I wore a black pleather shatter look blazer, waxed skinny jeans, patent boots and for a bit of metal I added this silver chained necklace. I have this cute triangle clutch, it has round studs on one side whilst the other side expands into a pyramid.

More of a nighttime look, and yes for more special occasions. I love love love the contrast between the colourful milky galaxy print on the tank with my textured black pieces. Sure the tank is the obvious statement, but there is no problem with Black having a bit of a moment too!

Style Diary - Trenching It.

I've never really like winter. Rain... Cold... Rain.

I must admit with recent travels in cold cold Europe I've stocked up a pretty good winter wardrobe full of coats, scarves and other winter goodies to keep me warm and stylish over the cold months.

This trench coat is my favourite, I got from Paris H&M, Khaki green its a very winter chic coat. With a hood, waistband and my number one requirement pockets, this trenchcoat is great as an overcoat or a a look itself.

For this look I paired the trench with a simple white tee, skinny black Bardot waxed jeans and my black and white Alexander McQueen scarf. Just a simple winter look, helping to make winter more bearable and pretty.

I also added my textured wrap ring from House of Harlow 1960 and a Sugar Skull ring from MARTAN Jewellery, to add something to my hands.Gloves are a bit too restrictive so I opt for many a rings.

There is no excuse to not look good in winter, a good coat, scarf and accessories and you are good for the season!
